TRANSMETAL Confirmed For Mexico's MEZCAL METAL FEST; WHIPLASH Pulls Out Of Event

The reunited lineup of TRANSMETAL, the "most important death/thrash metal band in Mexico," has been confirmed for this year's Mezcal Metal Fest, set to take place September 13, 2009 at Vive Cuervo Salon in Mexico.

TRANSMETAL has played with such bands as SEPULTURA, KEATOR, SLAYER, DEICIDE, OVERKILL and RATA BLANCA and musicians like Glen Benton (DEICIDE) and George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (CANNIBAL CORPSE) have been invited as guests on TRANSMETAL albums.

In other news, WHIPLASH has cancelled its participation in the event.
